What is a School Counselor?
A School Counselor is a certified professional who works within a child's school environment to assist them in addressing academic, behavioral, emotional, and social needs. School Counselors work with students, teachers, staff, parents, and community members to advocate for and empower students. They follow the ASCA Code of Ethics and aim to make the school an equitable and safe environment, and help students become well-rounded individuals.
